Road closures planned for ‘Let Freedom Sing’ celebration – Nashville-Davidson, Tennessee

Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN) – “Let Freedom Sing Music City” The July 4th event attracts thousands of people to downtown Nashville each year, with numerous road closures.

From 7:00 am on Friday, July 1st to 6:00 am on Sunday, July 3, Titansway around Nissan Stadium and South First Street from Titansway to Davidson Street will be closed.

Downtown closures begin at 6am on Sunday and continue until 4am on Monday, July 4th. First Avenue from Demon Brune Street to Church Street and Broadway from Congressman John Lewisway to South First Avenue will be closed. Congressman John Lewisway from Demon Brune Street to Broadway and 2nd Avenue South from Demon Brune Street to Commerce Street will also be closed.

At 7:00 am on Monday, July 4, 1st Avenue from Colleen Veterans Boulevard to Gay Street will be closed, and 4th, 3rd and 2nd Avenues from Demon Brune Street to Commerce Street will be closed. Colane Veterans Boulevard will also be closed from 2nd Avenue South to South 2nd Street. Broadway will be closed from South 6th Avenue to South 1st Avenue.

At 8 pm on Monday, the pedestrian bridge will be closed as the fireworks show is ready.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation has announced that it will not be possible to enter I-24 between I-65 and I-40 from 9 pm to 10:30 pm on Monday, July 4th. Metro Police Officers, TDOTs, and Tennessee Highway Patrol members create an I-24 traffic detour between the north junction with I-65 and the south junction with I-24.   • Post 2: -I65N & I-24E Junction (north side of loop exit 86)
  • Post 3: I-40W and I-24W junctions (south side of loop exit 211)

  • Post 5: Spring Street Access Lamp to I-24E
  • Post 6: Woodland Street Access Lamp to I-24W
  • Post 7: Interstate Highway Access Ramp to I-24E
  • Post 8: Lamps Shelby Street @ I-24W
