On Thursday, August 17, 2017, traffic will retreat near a northbound repair project on Las Vegas Boulevard, north of Tropicana Avenue.

Traffic on the Las Vegas Strip will be restricted to one lane in each direction in various locations next week due to ongoing repaving, officials said.

From 9 pm Sunday to 10 am September 24, crew members will work on Las Vegas Boulevard between Spring Mountain Road and Sahara Avenue, according to Clark County officials.

The most important restrictions are scheduled to occur at night.

Drivers are encouraged to pay attention to changes in traffic patterns and anticipate delays.

According to the release, this project is the first of seven working phases along the strip between Sahara and the 215 Beltway.

Each phase includes waterline replacement, median landscaping, new pavement, and changes to improve pedestrian crossings. Upgrades also include upgrades to traffic lights and street lighting systems, including LED lighting.

According to the release, work began last month from the next phase, Las Vegas Boulevard, between Russell Road and 215.
