Laimer Tapia scored two doubles and two runs with three hits as the Colorado Rockies beat the Miami Marlins 4-3 on Wednesday night to win a rare road game.

The Marlins loaded the bass with two outs in the ninth half before Corey Dickerson was first thrown by third baseman Ryan McMahon. Ryan McMahon made a stellar backhand stab and a strong throw.

Tapia, who scored three hits in four of the eight games in June, helped Colorado improve from home to the worst Major League Baseball 5-23.

Colorado won a lead-off hitter on the base in each of the first five innings while racing with a 3-0 lead.

Rockies starter Austin Gomber (5-5) allowed five hits, no walks, and one run in five innings. In the last 6 starts, Gomber is 3-1 and ERA is 1.57.

The last of the five rocky pitchers, Daniel Bard, scored eight saves, leaving bases loaded in the ninth inning of the scoreless.

Marlins rookie Braxton Garrett (0-1) lost, hitting five hits, three walks and two runs in four innings.

Colorado recorded one run in two consecutive games. Tapia doubled, scoring third in Garrett Hampson’s sacrifice bunt and scoring the center with Charlie Blackmon’s single.

Blackmon led infield hits in 3rd place and moved to 2nd place when Garrett dropped the cambacker. He scored with a Jonathan Daza single on the Marlins shortstop Jazz Chisam’s glove.

Colorado took a 3-0 lead in 5th place as Tapia doubled and Hampson came in 3rd when he hit infield hits. He scored with a pass ball distracted from the Marlins catcher Sandy Leon’s glove.

Miami finally got on board in the bottom of the fifth inning with Chisholm’s two-out RBI single, before the Rocky Mountains extended their lead to 4-1 in the sixth inning. Brendan Rodgers was hit by the pitch and advanced to third place with Elias Diaz’s double, scoring a goal with a pinch hitter Connor Joe.

As Dickerson walked 10 pitches, Miami closed the deficit 4-3 in the bottom of the 6th inning, and Adam Duvall hit a two-run homer and hit the 0-2 slider to the left.
