According to Ocean Safety, seven other people were on board trying to throw the captain’s life jacket.
After about 30 minutes of treading water, Ocean Safety contacted the captain, rescued him from the water and transferred him to an HFD boat.
The lifeguard then escorted the boat to a safe place. No injuries have been reported.
