Wichita, Kansas (KSNW) – The Salvation Army and Eversey announced on Thursday that they are working together to support the community and deal with the rapidly approaching and dangerous temperature levels of the season.
The Salvation Army said many Kansas states continue to face unexpected difficulties due to pandemics this year and need more immediate heat relief than ever before. Eversey is a resident of Sedgwick County who needs the opportunity to receive one fan per family in the harsh reality that disabled and elderly people who do not have access to air conditioning cannot afford to buy fans for themselves and their families. Promised to support.
Evergy will have a special two-day drive-up curveside from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm at Downtown Koch Center 350 North Market Campus (Third & Market) on Monday, June 14th and Tuesday, June 15th. We will hold a fan distribution. Both days.
Starting Tuesday, June 15th, everywhere in the Wichita Salvation Army, we will continue to serve our clients during normal program hours. Please check the opening hours of the location as it depends on the location. Fans are only available to residents of Sedgwick County.
Business hours may vary, so please contact your local Corps Community Center directly. Citadel Community Center (1739 S. Elpyco) (685-8699), West Orchard Community Center (1910 S. Everett) (943-9893).
