Albuquerque, New Mexico (KRQE) – A couple in Albuquerque works to bring a smile to the faces of COVID patients and their caregivers. The couple, who wanted to remain anonymous, delivered more than 250 cards and about 100 gifts to nurses, doctors and patients at the University of New Mexico Hospital on Friday morning.
They contacted their neighbors earlier this week to see if anyone would like to help brighten the spirits of those fighting COVID-19 at our hospital. It was flooded with handwritten notes and Christmas Advent calendars. “It was very heartwarming to see the reaction. In that regard, New Mexicans want to do good with each other. We need more opportunities to unite for good,” the couple said. Said. They want to increase deliveries to other hospitals.
