Birmingham, Alabama (WIAT / AP) — This holiday season comes to mind for all of us, but one thing we don’t have to worry about is that Santa Claus is coming to town. He will spread joy, not the virus, says top experts in infectious diseases in the United States.

According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the big man in red is actually unaffected by COVID-19.

“Santa is exempt from this because he has many good innate immunity among all the good qualities,” he told USA Today.

Due to Santa’s aging and the excessive weight of all these cookies, children may be worried that Santa may be at risk. But rest assured that boys and girls, Santa’s magic can overcome even the coronavirus.

And, as we’ve done over the last 65 years, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) respects their tradition of tracking the progress of the big man delivering toys around the world. In addition to the call center, NORAD’s Santa Tracker is published on noradsanta.org and is available from the Google Play and Apple App Store apps.
