Lexington, Kentucky (LEX 18) — After maintaining a social distance in 2020, Santa Claus traveled early to Lexington to celebrate Christmas in July.
For four hours on Saturday, Santa visited the children who were able to come to Waveland State Historic Site.
The event gave children the opportunity to tell them what they wanted for Christmas because they couldn’t talk to Santa directly last year.
Mrs. Claus wanted to make sure that busy bees could keep the spirit of the holidays alive.
“That’s … because of COVID last year. And we couldn’t do Santa. Santa came and he was in the mansion and the kids filed him in the mirror and saw it.” Said Mrs. Klaus. “I wanted to do something special for the community this year. I couldn’t do it last year, so I hope a lot of kids will come to Santa.”
