Columbia, South Carolina (WSAV) – The Department of Health and Environmental Management (DHEC), South Carolina, has announced the immediate launch of the state’s COVID-19 vaccination, testing, and other DHEC services.
DHEC aims to hire nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, government support, and other key personnel to get the job done.
DHEC expects to hire at least 150 staff To support the COVID-19 vaccination clinic. Authorities say DHEC will need additional staff as the vaccine rolls out.
“It’s a special time, and we’re working with the state and DHEC HR departments to streamline the hiring process. We plan to hire individuals within days or weeks instead of months,” said DHEC. Marcus Robinson, Chief Human Resources Officer, said.
Positions that need to be filled include full-time, part-time, and hourly work. Positions range from $ 13 to $ 45 per hour.
Many positions are state-wide and some are county or region specific.
