ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com)-Schnucks said that starting Monday, masks will be required in the store, following new guidance from the city and county of St. Louis.
Maskman Dates only apply to locations in St. Louis City and St. Louis County. Schnucks said he would need masks for all customers, employees and vendors.
Customers and employees vaccinated in stores outside of St. Louis City and County do not need to wear masks.
Beginning Monday, all persons over the age of 5 in the city and county of St. Louis are required to wear masks indoors in public places and on public transport, regardless of vaccination status. Authorities also urge people to wear masks outdoors if they belong to a group. Persons sitting in restaurants and bars eating and drinking, and persons with disabilities who cannot wear masks are exempt from the obligation.
The announcement will be made as the Delta Variant spreads across the St. Louis region. Officials in the city and county of St. Louis have previously said they are considering regaining mandates. Many local school districts still decide if they need a mask.
