Philadelphia – Scottish Deerhound named Claire was named Best In Show at the National Dog Show on Thursday.

After winning the Hound Group and astonishing the judges, Claire won the Grand Prize at the annual Thanksgiving event.

During the NBC broadcast, commentator David Fry said the dog was doing exactly what it was in.

“Perfectly crafted, lively and easy to walk, it’s as elegant as Sir Walter Scott envisioned when he called Deerhound the most perfect creature,” Fry said.

Like many events of the year, dog shows were held without an audience to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

In recent years, the Philadelphia Kennel Club has held two separate dog shows, but this year the club held only one show, which was divided into two days on November 14th and 15th...

The contest was also limited to about 600 dogs, a 70% reduction from the nearly 2,000 entries normally available.
