Tulsa, Oklahoma — Seattle Seahawks receiver and Tyler Lockett from Tulsa began shouting their hometown ahead of Sunday’s match against the Tennessee Titans.
Before the game, Rocket posted a photo of his pre-game cleat that sported Waffle That! Logo in honor of the restaurant and owner Roy Tillis that Lockett went to school with.
Tyris has started Waffle That! As a food truck that has grown into two physical stores in the last three years.
Lockett said in a pre-match post that he and Tillis played soccer together in junior high school.
“The celebration is not only for his success, but also because he shared a blueprint for how he started his business and inspired people in his journey!” Rockett said.
The rocket led the Seahawks, recording eight catches, 178 yards, and touchdowns in overtime to the Titans.
Lockett has been screaming home in pre-match cleats for the second straight week.
Before defeating Indianapolis Colts in the opening round of the first week of the season, he posted a photo of Cleat in honor of Carver Middle School and Vice-Principal Cletta Driver.
He began his NFL career in Seattle after playing at Booker T. Washington High School and then at Kansas State University, spending seven seasons.
