Flagstaff, Arizona (AP) — A crew member looking for a missing man in the Grand Canyon National Park made an unexpected discovery this summer.
They found the body of another person, who authorities believed was last seen in the park in 2015. The coroner’s office is working on identity verification. Park officials tentatively identified the person as 56-year-old Scott Walsh. Park spokeswoman Joel Baird says Walsh lived in Ecuador but had a driver’s license from Brooklyn, New York.
The Park Ranger recently associated the prescription found in Walsh’s daypack with the jacket identification found in his body.
