Investigators found in two separate cases that Collins had pawned several jewelry items taken from the homes of David and Edith Henderson.
Collins told detectives that he had pawned the jewels given to him by Marcel Waldon, who was charged with Henderson’s murder, even after learning that Waldon was suspected of their murder.
Evidence gathered from a pawn shop in Lakeland also confirmed Colin’s identity as the person who pawned the item, police said.
Collins was arrested on Friday and transferred to Pork County Jail.
He was charged with false owner information regarding pawned items, subsequent accessories, falsification of physical evidence, and handling of stolen property.
