More than 300 Florida people will attend a job fair hosted by Grace Family Church and Tampa Hillsborough Homeless Initiative
Hillsborough County, Florida — On June 8, 2021, Grace Family Church, Tampa Hillsborough Homeless Initiative, and Better Together Ministries will host a second chance job fair. The fair will be held at Ybor Campus at the Grace Family Church on 2806 N 15th Street from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The Second Chance Job Fair features currently recruiting employers who are willing to hire unemployed or underemployed residents due to their criminal history. In addition to meeting with your local employer, job seekers can attend workshops on preparing for an interview and applying for record deletion. Professional resume support is available, and with the help of community partners, each job seeker is provided with free business clothing. More than 30 employers and service providers participate and more than 250 job listings are posted.
One in three Americans has a criminal record. These job fairs are important to help individuals overcome their disabilities and support themselves and their families. This event will allow employers to secure the workforce they need as the economy continues to strengthen.
“Grace Family Church is committed to meeting the mental and physical needs of people in the Tampa Bay area,” commented Rolanda Beacham, Outreach Coordinator for Grace Family Church. “This Second Opportunity Job Fair connects employers and job seekers and provides unique services to our community at this critical time. We believe in Second Opportunities and make those connections practical. I want to provide it in a way that is unique. “
