Senator Kelly Loeffler is quarantining on Friday and Saturday following an inconclusive COVID-19 test, according to a statement from her campaign spokesman Stephen Lawson.
A spokesperson for Senator Leffler made the following statement:
“Senator Leffler underwent two COVID tests on Friday morning. Her rapid test was negative and she was allowed to attend the event on Friday. She was after the public event on Friday. I was notified late in the evening that my PCR test returned positive, but it was retested. After discussing with medical personnel on Saturday morning, the results were not definitive on Saturday night. Leffler Senator followed the CDC guidelines and notified the person in direct contact while waiting for further test results. She is asymptomatic and will continue to follow the CDC. Retesting is decisive and at that point Guidelines by quarantine until updates are provided. “
