The release of the Pandora Papers report by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists sheds light on the financial transactions of elites and corrupters, and how they used offshore accounts and tax havens to protect trillions of dollars in assets. In addition to the familiar offshore shelters, the report also disclosed secret accounts of trusts scattered throughout the United States, including 81 in South Dakota, 37 in Florida, and 35 in Delaware.
