Thunderstorms can bring dazzling rain, thunder, and strong winds to the DC area on Thursday afternoon, and more storms on Friday.

Prepare for a series of thunderstorms hitting DC, northern Virginia, and Maryland after a light rain on Thursday morning and possible sunny days at lunch.

Strong or intense storms are most likely to occur between 2 pm and 8 pm, among the highest in the late 80’s.

The storm is moving from west to east, interstate highway 81 around 2 to 3 pm, interstate highway 95 around 5 pm, and Maryland around 7 to 8 pm Storm Team 4 says it will hit the South.
