Douglas Edward Malloy sentenced to 10 years in prison
KOIN, Oregon — Douglas Edward Malloy thought he was talking to a 15-year-old girl on social media. However, the 78-year-old man was actually talking to a Beaverton detective. And now he’ll be in jail for 10 years — the second time he’s been convicted as a sex offender.
Malloy began sending messages to “teens” in May 2021 and sent porn videos to “teens”. He also tried to involve his “teenage sister,” the Washington County District Attorney’s Office said.
He was immediately arrested when he agreed to meet a “teen” at Beaverton Park. Malloy told police that he was a registered sex offender who sent child pornography to the “girl” he thought he was meeting.
According to officials, Malloy had a cell phone, sex toys, condoms and Viagra at the time of his arrest.
On December 3, he encouraged child sexual abuse, seduced minors, and pleaded guilty to online sexual corruption of children.
On Wednesday, Malloy was sentenced to 10 years in prison by Judge Brandon Thompson. He was dispatched to the Oregon Corrections Bureau and started working.
