The water at the Head of Meadow Beach in Trulo was temporarily closed to swimmers after a great white shark was found near the coast on Saturday morning, according to a report from the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy’s Sharktivity app.

According to the app, the shark was reported at 10:46 am. Authorities have not stated when the water will resume, but beach-goers can stay on the sand while the recommendations are in effect.

According to the app, sharks were also detected by Chatham’s receiver on Saturday morning, Friday morning, and Thursday night. According to the app’s report, some of the sharks were found by the receiver 20 times, named James.
