Sheila Dawn Rose died on Saturday, January 30, 2021 in Carrera, Oklahoma, at the age of 61. Sheila was born on December 11, 1959 in Jesse Willard Rose II and Betty Jean Fuller Rose in Okemah, Oklahoma. Sheila was raised north of Okema by her grandparents Isaac “Ike” and Etta Green Fuller. Sheila married Alice “Shorty” Satterfield in 1975 and had two daughters, Sherry Diane and Sandra Dawn Satterfield. Sheila later moved to southwestern Oklahoma, where she met and married Grover Lee Taylor and helped raise his children, Sheila Ann and Daniel. Grover worked in an oilfield in the early 80’s, taking his family to Weatherford, to Enid, and then back to Okema to marry Bobby Rutland in 2013. Finally, Carrera’s Ken Hinkle was by her side. She has been in the hospital for the past 30 days and has been suffering from COVID and its effects.
Sheila has daughters Sherry Martin and Sandy Petersen, four grandchildren and a few stepchildren, sisters and brothers Gloria Rose, Sharla Arlington, Jessie Rose, III, Edwin Malone, and many of Okemah. Survived by Fuller / Green’s cousin, aunt and uncle. Cromwell and Seminole area.
Service will take place on Friday, February 26, at 2:00 pm at the Cemetery of the Highland Cemetery in Okemah, Oklahoma. Sheila will be resting with her grandmother and grandpa.
