Fulton County, Georgia (CW69 News 10am) — Family and college students aren’t the only ones to go home on Thanksgiving holidays. Some of Fulton County Animal Services’ furry friends are calling for their “Pawlidays Home” program.
“When they announced they were doing this program, we decided that, as you know, there was no better opportunity to raise a dog for a week and take it with us on vacation. “It was,” said Emma Highfield, a pet foster parent who volunteered earlier, for the shelter. “This is a great way to introduce a dog, learn more about it, and get away from life in a shelter.”
The shelter will send out 20 dogs over the next few days, and they will spend Thanksgiving week with foster parents.
Mira Solomon, Fulton Volunteer and Event Coordinator, said: “They can experience all the comforts of the home and learn a lot about their personality around the world. Instead of spending a week here, you can spend a really great week. County Animal Services. “I’m really excited that everything in our community has stepped up and signed up for every pickup slot.”
Aaron Hopkins and Blair Stewart have long adopted animals. “We want to raise dogs as well as cats. Mr. Hopkins is grateful for this program and gives these dogs the opportunity to go to’holidays’. I explained that. “It makes more sense to us than anything else.”
Of course, the dogs aren’t just grateful for the invitation.
“We are really grateful to the community because they really step up every time they ask for help to help take animals out of the shelter,” Solomon said.
If you miss this opportunity, there will always be Black Friday adoption from November 23rd to 30th. They are exempt from adoption costs for all animals. Click here for more information.
