Chris Lovingud, a reporter for Action News 4 in Pittsburgh, reported a smooth condition as snow began to fall throughout the Pittsburgh region on Sunday and continued until Monday. On Monday morning, Regent’s South Braddock Avenue reported snow cover. The square was clear. Watch the video above. Nearly 200 school closures and delays have been reported in the Pittsburgh area. Due to the heavy snow, it will take an hour or two for the driver to complete the route, Shanley said. Smooth conditions were reported throughout the Pittsburgh area as snow began to hit the area on Sunday and continued until Monday.

Chris Rubbingwood, a reporter for Action News 4 in Pittsburgh, reported on Monday morning that Forbes Avenue on Squirrel Hill was covered in snow. By early afternoon, Regent Square’s South Braddock Avenue was sunny. Watch the video above.

Stephen Shanley, director of public works at Allegheny County, said snowplow drivers would extend the shift until midnight, until then 24 trucks would run on the county road.

Due to the heavy snow, it will take an hour or two for the driver to complete the route, Shanley said. He asked the driver for patience and attention.

“All types of spills from adjacent hillsides that can freeze can create smooth spots on the road, so be careful if you encounter any of them.” Shanley said.
