Los Angeles (AP) — Donovan Solano and Evan Longoria hit home runs, Logan Webb threw five innings, and the San Francisco Giants defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-6.
The Giants won a streak at Dodger Stadium after losing the first four of the season series, scoring a total of 19 runs.
After returning from the disabled list before the match, Mike Yastrzemski hit two hits and Wilmer Flores hit three out of 16 hits.
Webb (4-3) kept the Dodgers down to one hit and one run. He struck out seven times, took no steps, and retired the last 11 batters.
Webb started with shoulder tension after a short stint on the injured list, so his outing ended with just 62 balls.
Albert Pujols recorded 669 home runs and doubles in his career, and was the fourth most in Major League Baseball history with 1,356 extra-base hits alongside Babe Ruth.
Pujols scored three points the day after the Giants left fielder Mike Touchman hit a spectacular catch in the ninth inning and was robbed of a home run to win the match.
Cody Bellinger returned to the Dodgers lineup about two months after being on the disabled list due to a broken leg. He received great applause from a limited audience. He walked four hits to zero and scored a run.
Max Muncy also hit a home run in Los Angeles.
Julio Urías (7-2) got off to a bad start of the season with 11 hits, 7 hits and 6 hits in 5 innings.
Solano made up for the mistake shortly after hitting a double in the second inning. He hit a two-run home run for the third time, giving the Giants a 5-2 lead.
Giants: INF Flores (hamstring) is back from the 10-day injured list.
Dodgers: OF Bellinger (fracture of hairline on left leg) and INF / OF Zach McKinstry (right diagonal tension) have returned from IL and both have begun. RHP Tony Gonsolin (shoulder) will start another rehab. / Or in the case of 75 balls, he could then return to the Dodgers.
Giants: RHP Kevin Gaussmann (5-0, ERA 1.53) defeated Arizona with 5 hits in 5 innings on the final start.
Dodgers: LHP Clayton Kershaw (7-3, 2.94) made his 50th career start with the Giants with an impressive run at 24-13 with 1.79 ERA and 0.88 WHIP. Kershaw has the second most wins in MLB.
