A video released by police shows part of the chase, but does not show the actual crash.

Police say they found a blue Ford Fusion moving east on Solon Road and learned that it had been stolen by a gun from Cleveland on December 2.

It took off when the policeman tried to stop the vehicle. The chase continued to the neighboring village of Bentleyville and the city of Chaglin Falls. According to Solon police, police officers lost sight of the fleeing car and ended the chase.

In one of the policeman’s body camera videos, you can hear him say that Bentleyville police chased the car from outside the jurisdiction to Chaglin Falls. The vehicle turned around and appeared to have been tracked by Bentleyville police and re-entered Solon.

Police at Chaglin Falls told FOX8 that the officer had never sounded a siren.

After re-entering Solon, police officers deployed stopsticks. Investigators say the car lost control and collided with two other cars.

Two suspects, a 19-year-old Berea man and a 20-year-old Cleveland man, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As of Tuesday night, they had not been charged.

An 85-year-old Chaglin Falls woman was taken to the hospital in severe condition and later died of an injury.

Two car drivers, a 37-year-old man and an 89-year-old Chaglin Falls man in North Bloomfield, Trumbull County, were taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Solon police say the loaded gun and marijuana were found in a stolen vehicle. Police did not disclose the suspect’s name until the suspect was charged.
