Boston (WHDH)-When the weather is so nice, you’ll want to get out as much as you can.
Bovell’s decided to decorate the house just to do that.
“I imagined myself, cooked, had dinner, and enjoyed the deck,” Cheryl said.
“We had a well-worn wooden deck, which was about 25 years old and we wanted to replace it,” Ken said.
They chose a contractor to build a deck that they wanted to last for decades.
Bobelle signed a contract last summer to start working on the deck.
Ken said, “It was scheduled to end in October 2020.
“They came out and built what you see back here, and then it all stopped, the work just stopped,” said Ken.
The contractor blamed the deck for the bad weather.
“I heard that the material wasn’t immediately available due to supply problems,” Ken said.
Work on the deck resumed last November, but something went wrong.
“I told the contractor that this was the wrong material,” Ken said.
The deck should have been all brown, not white.
“He said he didn’t have the resources to get the job done-it wasn’t what we paid for.
I can explain it in one word-frustration. I think we were disturbed, “Ken said.
Bovell decided to come up with one last option.
“At that time, we contacted you,” Ken said.
We contacted the company and they apologized to Bobelle.
They said the deck material they requested was backordered.
They said they would rush to get the job done by this summer, and a few months later, Bobel is enjoying their new deck.
“This is where we wanted to be a year ago,” said Ken.
“We are grateful to you, because we wouldn’t have been here. I don’t think we were here,” Cheryl said.
