Some SB lanes of Highway 99 in Fresno County closed following semi-truck crash – Fresno, California

Fresno County, CA (KFSN)-California Highway Patrol closed the southbound lane of State Highway 99 after a semi-truck crash in Fresno County.

The crash was reported before 5:30 am near Bethel Avenue between Selma and Kingsburg.

A CHP official said the truck hit a central partition along the freeway and the trailer fell.

The semi-truck was empty, but officials said it was leaking diesel to the road.

Officers are working to identify the cause of the crash. The truck driver was slightly injured.

One lane to the south is still passable, but the car is reportedly backed up by Mountain Viewer Venue. It’s not immediately clear how long the southbound lane will be closed.
