Fulton County, Georgia (CBS46) — Robert Aaron Long, accused of shooting eight people at three spas in the Atlanta area in March, will be pleaed in Fulton County for the first time next month.
Long has been detained in Cherokee County since a series of shootings on March 16 and faces four murders related to the shooting deaths of four victims in Woodstock.
Long will appear in the Cherokee County Superior Court on July 27. However, a new motion from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis demanded that Long be delivered to Fulton County “on the immediate completion of the hearing.”
It is not clear what will happen at the Cellokey County hearing, but a judicial deal may be agreed, paving the way for a larger proceeding against Long.
In Fulton County, Long faces four murders, four murders of Ferron, five weighted assaults, one domestic terrorist attack, and five felony missions with guns.
In a statement, Willis said, “We want to ensure that the process in Fulton County proceeds as soon as possible after Mr. Long has completed his hearing in Cherokee County. Mr. Long has been accused of committing in Fulton. Crime victim counties are worth more. “
Whatever happens in Cerokee County, the Fulton County DA office has told CBS46 that it will prosecute Long to the fullest extent of the law, including the possibility of the death penalty.
