Spartanburg, South Carolina (WSPA) – A search for a man, whose agent said he was struck by a gun on Monday night and robbed Wellford’s convenience store, continues. The cashier who was working at the time told us that the bullet barely missed his head.
It began as a typical night at Brandon Pridmore working behind the counters at the Southern Pride Convenience Store along Nazareth Road.
Until then, an unfamiliar man came in.
“He’s walking around and already pulling a pistol. He opens the cash register and asks me for a bank bag,” Brandon Pridmore said, who was working in the store when the armed robbery took place. Told us.
Pridemore said he had just started it, but was having a hard time opening the cash register.
“He pulled and shot my head before I opened it,” Pridemore said.
He said his cash register opened and the robbery cost hundreds of dollars before reacting to what was happening. But it wasn’t the last shootout.
“He looks back, points and shoots another shot,” explained Pridemore.
All those bullets missed Predmore slightly.
His colleague Nicole Boyd told us they were still shocked about everything.
Nicole Boyd, who works at the Southern Pride Convenience Store, said:
She said Pridmore returned to work the next day.
“I had a job to do,” said Pridemore.
He said it didn’t actually hit him until he saw the surveillance footage the next day.
“It could easily turn out to be the opposite. That night, the detective told me and my boss that it could have been an easy murder,” Pridemore said.
Today, Pridmore is grateful to be alive.
“We must thank the Lord,” said Pridemore.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help finding a man in the video. If you know anything about who he is, you will be prompted to call their office or crime stopper at 1-888-CRIME-SC (274-6372).
