Denver (KDVR) — Governor Jared Polis announced Thursday night that a special session announced earlier this week will begin on November 30th. Focus on many issues related to financial remedies within the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, the governor said lawmakers would take action on seven topics:

  1. SME relief
  2. Childcare support
  3. Housing and rental support
  4. Increased internet access
  5. Food insecurity
  6. Utility support
  7. Public health measures

“We live in an unprecedented urgent moment,” Police said. “We will work to help small businesses facing difficulties months ahead, provide relief to hard-working people, support childcare, and improve broadband access for students and educators. We thank the legislative leaders for their support and cooperation during this difficult time for our state. “

Congressmen will meet in person. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued guidance to the legislature to make special sessions as safe as possible amid a surge in coronavirus cases and hospitalizations.

“I think it’s important for us to keep fighting for that economic recovery and inspiration for our community, but when we come to work, we do this. You shouldn’t be there that long, “said Kyle Malika, a Democrat representing District 34 of the House of Representatives.
