According to officials, a speed-violating SUV carrying six 17-year-olds crashed into a tree on Thursday night at Hamlake.
The wreck occurred around 11:30 pm on NE’s 16800 block. Xirit Street, Anoka County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to the sheriff’s office, rescuers took four of their teens to a nearby hospital, and the other two, who were allegedly seriously injured, were taken by ambulance to another hospital.
The status of all six teens was not immediately revealed. The sheriff’s office has not yet disclosed their identities.
According to the sheriff’s office, the SUV was heading south “at high speed” on Xylite when it hit a tree.
