As we all experienced last year, the COVID-19 pandemic spotlighted a major gap in Internet access across the country. The Delta region, especially the Parish of St. Bernard, has shown a lack of adequate digital infrastructure to support access to critical services such as medical care, distance learning and remote work. In response to these challenges, Delta Regional Authority Announced the Delta Broadband Mapping Project, St. The Bernard Economic Development Foundation is proud to support DRA with this initiative.

Through a crowdsourcing platform, DRA is embarking on a regional Internet speed testing initiative to support data-driven policies and decision making. The goal of this project is to create a regional map of internet availability and speed. This allows the Parish of St. Bernard to provide the community with funding opportunities to improve access to high-speed broadband and affordability.

The test takes less than a minute to complete and can be run on any device connected to the internet.Help expand your broadband infrastructure I take the test today.
