NS. Lewis County, Missouri (KMOV.com)-The St. Louis County Commission will meet to discuss next year’s budget. One of the biggest things they talk about is funding the St. Louis Convention Center.
The council holds funds to help expand the American Center in downtown St. Louis. The meeting will start at 1 pm on the new streaming services BoxCast and YouTube. Starting next week, the county is away from YouTube after the service has removed some meetings due to incorrect information in public comments.
The conversation also shifts towards how the county makes up for the income lost during the pandemic. County executive Sam Page estimates that the county will lose more than $ 280 million in tax revenue by 2022. He also believes that the county should use some of the federal COVID bailouts to make up for the loss.
