NS. Louis County (KMOV.com) – Dr. Sam Page, Executive of St. Louis County, will hold a press conference Wednesday morning to announce the COVID-19 Vaccine Incentive Program.
In June, the county approved $ 875,000 in federal funding from the US Rescue Planning Act to provide incentives for people to be vaccinated. The incentive is provided in the form of a gift card provided to the recipient of the vaccine.
News 4 has been checking with the county for months looking for updates to the incentive program. In a final check, county officials said the incentives were still in the bidding process. According to people familiar with the matter, it’s not as easy as going to a store and buying a gift card because we want to give every company the opportunity to participate.
The current 7-day average of COVID-19 vaccination in St. Louis County is just over 1,000, down from 2,000 30 days ago.
