The St. Paul Jacy’s Charitable Foundation has extended the deadline for applying for charitable grants to December 9.
Nonprofits and government agencies can apply for up to $ 2,500 to support programs and services that benefit the St. Paul community.
Established during Prohibition, the Jr. Chamber of Commerce grew to about 1,000 members in the 1950s, but by the time it dissolved in August it had dropped to just a handful of members. .. As the name implies, the charity fund, which has more than $ 800,000 in funding, is still alive.
The reunion of former members is tentatively planned for the spring of 2021. Past members interested in adding to the notification list can find contact information online at jcistpaul.org.
