Both Detroit’s Matthew Stafford and Carolina’s Teddy Bridgewater are skeptical of Sunday’s Lions-Panthers match. With the exception of these two quarterbacks, several other players are dealing with injuries to the two teams.

Friday’s Detroit excluded running backs for D’Andre Swift (concussion) and receivers Kenny Golladay (hips) and Danny Amendola (hips). Carolina, who is running back on Christian McCaffrey (shoulder), will not be able to play in the match this weekend.
Stafford, who has dealt with a right thumb injury, was restricted by Friday practice. Bridgewater is also restricted by a sprain on his right knee, and coach Matt Roulet said it will determine the match time. If Bridgewater is unplayable, either Will Grier or PJ Walker will start in the quarterback. Roule said he hadn’t decided who he was.
Bridgewater was injured last weekend when the team lost to Tampa Bay.
McCaffrey has missed two games in a row, and Russell Okung is skeptical of Carolina after missing the last two games due to a calf injury. Cornerback Donte Jackson (toes) and guard John Miller (ankles) are also suspicious.
Stafford was able to finish Detroit’s victory over Washington last weekend. He missed Wednesday practice and was restricted to Thursday.
Swift is about to finish the impressive game of 81 yards rush and 68 yards receive, but the rookie can’t build it right away.
Detroit’s tight end TJ Hockenson (toes) fully participated in Friday’s practice.
