Harrisburg (KDKA) —The Pennsylvania Department of Health reports 7,175 new cases of coronavirus and 313 additional deaths.
State data show that the number of cases across the state has increased to 748,564 since Wednesday’s report.
Currently, 5,069 people across the state are hospitalized for COVID-19 infection. Of the hospitalized patients, 1,035 are in the ICU.
The death toll for the entire state has increased to 18,742.
To date, there are 3,427,975 state-wide residents who have tested negative for the virus.
State Health figures show that 58,577 COVID-19 outbreaks occurred in nursing homes and personal care homes throughout Pennsylvania. There were 11,010 diagnosed cases among employees. As a result, the total number of cases in nursing homes will be 69,587. Of all deaths, 9,823 are residents of long-term care or personal care facilities.
Residents and staff of a care facility in Pennsylvania have begun to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Approximately 21,217 of all cases are included in state health care workers.
Currently, all 67 counties are in the reopening green phase. However, there are restrictions on bars, restaurants and large gatherings.
