State troopers investigating Ashland crash that killed mother, family dog – Cleveland, Ohio

Ashland-Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly hit-skip crash that killed a mother and family dog.

A fatal accident occurred on Township Road 1031 in Troy Township at around 9:16 pm on Tuesday evening.

Jennifer Lyn Boreman, 40, from Nova, Ohio, was walking her dog with two boys when she was attacked by a passing car.

Troopers say the dog and one of the boys were also beaten.

Boaman died on the scene. The boy was taken to Cleveland Hospital for treatment. Another uninjured boy was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and later released.

The vehicle the trooper is looking for could be a pickup truck, with damage to the front headlights and one of the grill areas.
