Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (WBTW) – Holly County returns to the “turning point” seen during the summer peak of the coronavirus pandemic: The county needs a curfew because of the very high new case rates .. Harvard Global Health Institute.

Researchers scored Holly County (and all counties across the country) based on the percentage of new cases. The Myrtle Beach area is ranked red, which is the highest risk level.

Data show that Holly County has experienced an average of 25.2 new cases per 100,000 people over the past seven days. The proportion in South Carolina was even higher, with 29.6 new cases per 100,000.

Harvard maps require you to stay home throughout the state.

At a press conference on Thursday, Governor Henry McMaster again refused to implement new restrictions to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Instead, he asked people to “test before turkeys” and take other precautions such as wearing masks and social distance.
