“This was a real shock to us because we always felt safe in the area,” said Samurat Meher, who lives near the alleged stillwater hiding house.

Neighbors are reacting after Stillwater police serve two search warrants throughout the city. One is Maple’s house and the other is an apartment house on the west side.

“They detained two people, one from each location. They found numerous items of property stolen from multiple jurisdictions in both homes,” a spokesman for Stillwater Police said. Said Lieutenant Kyle Bruce.

Both Taser Gray and Christopher Bec were booked in Payne County Detention Center. The pair has been accused of working in a property ring allegedly stolen.

“The last time I talked to detectives, they had over 137 pieces of evidence collected, from electronics, computers and tablets to IDs, debit cards, credit cards and tools. Basically, people. Whatever you can get … it sounded like you picked it up and stole it, “Bruce said.

Stillwater police were involved on Sunday after a call from Edmond Police 50 miles south.

Edmond police also told that they had also arrested four people after calling 911 that a car had been invaded in churches near Santa Fe and Danforth.

Edmond police told that all arrests were relevant as the suspect broke into a car and traveled to towns throughout the state looking for something of value.

But Stillwater police say there may be more.

“They are still doing some interviews and are doing more research on them, and I’m sure there will be more to come the next day,” Bruce said.

“I really want the owners to reunite with theirs,” Meher said.

Stillwater police say they are still working to find out who owns all the stolen property. Be sure to report any car intrusions in Stillwater or Edmond in the last few weeks.
