Stonewall Sports KC hosts LGBTQ+ kickball tournament in celebration of Pride Month – Kansas City, Missouri

Kansas City, Missouri — Hundreds of people from the LGBTQ + community and their allies gathered at Gilham Park in Kansas City, Missouri on Sunday afternoon for a friendly kickball round.

Stonewall Sport KCHosted this event, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing safe recreational areas for the people of Queer.

“In fact, many teams practice a week for a more competitive team,” said Ricardo Saravalya of Stonewall Sport KC. “Many people are learning and learning the rules, but it’s an adult kickball league. We’re here to have fun above all else.”

Stonewall Sports, Inc was founded in 2010 as a community-based sports organization for LGBTQ +.

Members also strive to be philanthropic by funding local nonprofits through organized sports.

“Pride Month is an opportunity to pay tribute to the brave, selfless, queer and transgender people who have begun the Stonewall Rebellion,” he said. “Being able to live a fully expressed life, so when we are here, we are celebrating it.”
