Wichita, Kansas 2021-03-05 13:36:03 –
This morning’s rain is now flowing south and east. Stronger winds and more showers are expected as we approach the Oklahoma and Texas cyclone systems. Kansas is almost dry until the afternoon. The sky will clear up overnight and return tomorrow morning. This means that it will cool rapidly until the thirties tonight, and cloud cover can slowly warm up starting on Saturday. The wind from the south will increase to the west tomorrow afternoon. On weekends there are high pressure ridges. This means that there is almost no clear sky and few clouds. Temperatures are 60 degrees on weekends and 70 degrees on weekdays. Dry and windy conditions can be a dangerous fire until it rains. The rains last night and this morning improve the short-term fire condition before concentrating on the grass fire. The chances of rain remain small as we approach the end of next week. This next system looks more powerful, but we’ll keep an eye on how it evolves from now on.
