Corpus Christi, Texas – Corpus Christi City Stormwater Division invites the community to a cleanup event at Rope’s Park at 3502 Ocean Drive. The event will take place on Saturday, September 25th, from 8am to 10am.
Stormwater is the outflow of water from a storm that flows over a paved surface into a stormwater drain. Stormwater often collects small amounts of substances as it flows into drains. Community cleanup events help minimize the amount of debris that can be collected by stormwater streams.
Volunteers who pre-register for the event will be provided with water, gloves, a garbage bag and a sand sieve. Since 2017, the program has removed more than £ 700 of garbage from the park.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and will be required to sign a waiver certifying that participants can be medically assisted upon arrival. (361) You can contact our team at 826-1863 or sign up by email at the following address: Contamination prevention @ cctexas.com..
