The latest study at the USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism investigates inequality in the film industry. Researchers have examined 900 films and more than 39,000 characters over the last decade to measure changes in diversity. Professor Stacy Smith, a collaborator of the study, will participate in “CBS This Morning” to discuss why certain demographics “needle does not move” on the screen and behind the camera.
