Atlanta, Georgia 2022-05-28 09:15:00 –
The Inaugural StyleSeat Awards recently recognized top beauty and wellness professionals in the United States. Twelve of the 42 winners are from Georgia, which has the second largest number of winners after Texas.
Honoring trendsetters, cosmetologists and all-round hair stylists, StyleSeat is a popular destination for cosmetologists to show off their talents, connect with new and existing clients, and build their business. In return, clients can discover new services, book online and see the latest new hair and beauty trends.
StyleSeat winners have been awarded in six categories: Booked & Busy, Client Choice, Best In, Brand Ambassador, Trendsetter and Wisdom. Atlanta-based barber Gregory Tahill Woods has been selected as the “Trendsetter” award winner.
“It feels great,” Woods said. I feel like I’ve been recognized for 20 years of hard work. I’m glad StyleSeat has done this. “
Woods is known for his unique skills in Atlanta’s grooming quarters. He specializes in services such as haircuts, coloring, wash treatments and facial cleanups for men and women.
“I’m actually the third generation [of my family to serve] In the industry, “Woods said,” My mother had a cosmetology store, a hairdresser, and a salon. I’ve been doing this for the rest of my life. ”
After getting a haircut license, Woods went to the University of Miami for fashion design and merchandising. Shortly thereafter, he got a job as a barber in a luxury store.
“I started removing classes when I increased the number of customers. [started making] money. This is what I wanted to do, “Woods said. “This award proves that I am as good as people think.”
StyleSeat also honored another Atlanta native who won the “Best Inblade” award. Natasha Tuit won the award based on the number of appointments she had successfully booked and completed and the variety she showed in her braided style.
“I was surprised because I didn’t know [StyleSeat] It was a thing, “Twitt said. “I feel really good because I’m in an area that follows a lot of people doing great work.”
Twitt’s admiration for the hair industry began when she was little. “I’ve wanted to do her hair since I was eight,” Tat said. When she moved from New York to Atlanta, Tuit moved from her job at a call center to hair styling at a hairdresser. To date, she has been doing hair for over 10 years. Twitt specializes in braided hairstyles for men and women. She said some of her work challenges involved complex customer needs and efforts to continually expand her brand.
StyleSeat generates over $ 10.6 billion in revenue and helps small businesses make over 155 million bookings, from helping cosmetologists grow their businesses to connecting clients with the right style and creativity. I’ve done it. StyleSeat is passionate about recognizing the best cosmetologists in the world.
