Nashville, Tennessee (WSMV)-A new e-scooter company called “Electric Scooter Netflix” is hitting the city of Nashville.
There are already several scooter companies operating in Nashville, which are called eels. The main difference: you don’t have to share your scooter.
David Heimann, Founder and CEO of Eel, said:
Heyman was fed up with the ride-sharing app. He says he didn’t know when they would cancel or appear late.
So instead he turned his attention to the e-scooter, but he wasn’t crazy about the price.
According to Heiman, eel scooters, like Netflix, are priced monthly.
“It’s $ 49 a month and $ 1.63 a day,” Heyman said. “A single ride on Lime or Bird costs between $ 3.50 and $ 5 per ride.”
Lorenzo Lagola was one of the first Nashville customers to embark on a new e-scooter trend.
After summing up his cars in January, he needed another high-speed car.
“I’ve been doing Lime and Bird for a while-it really comes down to reliability,” hw said. “I don’t think there are limes or birds outside the building.”
So Lagora changed to an eel and was able to take him anywhere.
“It’s definitely light — that’s the biggest difference,” Heyman said. “I can fold it and take it somewhere, it’s not like I’m pulling around a 40-pound bird scooter.”
The eel scooter weighs about 26 pounds and can travel up to 19 mph.
The company also closely monitors safety and ensures that all customers wear helmets.
If you sign up to receive your monthly scooter, the company will deliver it to your doorstep immediately within 72 hours.
