Marion County, South Carolina (WBTW) — Substitute teachers will not be able to teach in the Marion County School District after a private “incident” at Marion Middle School on Thursday.
Mr Wimberley said the agent did not take “punitive measures”, but the district found that the agent did not act within the district’s standards.
“On October 7, 2021, last Thursday, Marion Middle School filed a complaint involving a substitute teacher,” the district said in a statement to News 13 on Monday. “The school administration conducted a thorough investigation. No disciplinary action was found by temporary employees, but it was found that the agent did not act according to the district’s professional standards. The agency that manages staff has been informed that in the future, Marion County School District agents will not work. “
I didn’t immediately know what the incident was. The district said there were no further comments at this time.
