Tonight’s weather forecast:
It was a foggy and cold day for the plains. The fog should begin to clear from west to east early tonight as the front boundaries move toward Kansas. Our forecast is sunny, with low overnight minimums in southern Colorado, and lows in the 20s, 30s, and 40s.
Colorado Springs: Low: 34; high: 72. Sunshine returns to the Pikes Peak area on Monday and the response will be a big time warm-up after the cold and cloudy weather on Sunday.
Pueblo: Low: 32; high: 76. We had a hard time getting out of our 40s in Pueblo on Sunday. On Mondays, the maximum temperatures will be much warmer as the sunshine returns to the forecast.
Canon City: Low: 40; high: 78. High temperatures at the beginning of the week are much warmer as the sun and clouds mix warmly throughout Fremont County on Mondays.
Woodland Park: Low: 32; high: 66. Monday was partially cloudy and mild throughout Teller County, with maximum temperatures peaking in the 1960s.
Try Lake: Low: 30s; high: 60’s / 70’s. After a cold and cloudy Sunday, the Palmer Divide area will see a lot of warming and a bluer sky on Monday.
Hirano: Low: 20 seconds / 30 seconds; high: 60’s / 70’s. The plain weather on Sunday was cold and cloudy. The forecast for Monday is much brighter and much warmer as daytime highs return to the 1960s and 1970s.
Walsenberg / Trinidad: Low: 30s; high: 70’s. A warm mix of sun and clouds is expected on Monday as highs return to the 1970s.
Most of this week will be dry and warm on a mid-October basis. Highs will be very warm until mid-week, before the cold front crashes into southern Colorado late Thursday. This front brings the possibility of strong winds to the forecast and begins to change much cooler weather patterns towards the weekend. This system could also offer the possibility of the first snowfall of the month. stay tuned!
