KOIN, Portland, Oregon — A man was arrested months after a puncture wound killed 37-year-old Quinton Miller in downtown Portland.
According to court documents, suspect Austin Hays was arrested Tuesday afternoon. The 32-year-old boy is currently charged with multiple crimes, including illegal use of weapons and a second murder.
According to Portland police, Miller suffered a serious puncture wound near Southwest Pine Street and Southwest 3rd Avenue on Saturday, July 24th. An ambulance passing through the area found a mirror shortly before 1 am and lay on the street.
The crew said Miller was seriously injured. He was taken to a nearby hospital but later injured. His death was sentenced to murder.
Hayes was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning. KOIN 6 News will provide updates as new information becomes available.
