Suspect in custody after shots fired at Milwaukee Police officer – Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Milwaukee police have detained one person in connection with an incident fired by police officers early Saturday morning.

The shoot took place at around 2:35 am on 2200 blocks on North 39th Street near Garfield Avenue.

The target was a sergeant with 16 years of experience in the department and was not injured.

Police arrested a 31-year-old Milwaukee man and suspended criminal charges.

This shoot is one of seven shoots that took place on Friday afternoon.. Two other shots killed and five were injured. One of the injured is a 9-year-old boy.
